Name: Alyssa

Age: 14

YSOECI Program: Youth Symphony Orchestra

Instrument: French Horn

Length of Time Playing: Three years

Years in the YSO: One

Alyssa’s favorite part about playing an instrument is seeing how her music makes people feel. She has a musical family but was inspired to play the French horn by her middle school band. Alyssa says the Youth Symphony has improved her musical ability by teaching her new techniques and improving her articulation on the French horn.
